B1 Visa (Business)
For business meetings, conferences, and negotiations.
Not valid for employment or long-term study.
B2 Visa (Tourism)
For tourism, visiting family/friends, or medical treatment.
Allows multiple entries for short visits.
Combined B1/B2 Visa
Allows both business and tourism purposes in one visa.
Most commonly issued for Indian travelers.
Required Documents
Passport
Valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond intended stay.
All old passports, if available.
Photographs
2 recent color photographs (5x5 cm) with white background.
DS-160 Form Confirmation
Online filled non-immigrant visa application form.
Visa Fee Payment Receipt
Proof of fee payment for the US visa interview.
Interview Appointment Letter
Scheduled visa interview appointment confirmation at the VAC and Consulate.
Additional Supporting Documents
Financial Documents
- Bank statements (last 6 months)
- IT returns / Form 16 (last 2 years)
- Proof of income / salary slips
Ties to Home Country
- Employment documents or business proof
- Property ownership documents (if any)

Visa Application Process
Complete DS-160 Form
Submit the online application form on the official US visa site.
Pay Visa Fee
Make payment and save the receipt for appointment booking.
Schedule Appointments
Book your biometric and visa interview appointments online.
Attend VAC & Embassy Interview
Visit the Visa Application Center and attend the interview at the US Consulate.

Important Guidelines
Intent to Return
You must prove strong ties to India and intent to return after your trip.
Visa Validity
Visa validity does not guarantee duration of stay; entry is determined at the port of entry by CBP.
