Why book hotels through Qutbi instead of Booking.com or Agoda?

OTAs are excellent for spot-checking availability, but they are not always the cheapest place to actually book, and they cannot handle real human requests. Here is what we do that Booking.com and Agoda cannot:

1. Wholesale contracted rates. We book through global bed-banks and DMCs at rates negotiated below OTA public prices.
2. Human add-ons. Honeymoon cake, floral bed decor, anniversary champagne, early check-in, late check-out, connecting rooms, adjoining rooms, rooms on the same floor, high-floor rooms, sea-view guarantees, no-smoking rooms — arranged by a human, in writing, with the hotel.

Tips to save on hotels

1. Ask for our contracted rate first. We're often below OTAs.
2. Consider off-season. Kashmir in April vs. May can be ₹3,000/night cheaper.
3. Book longer stays. Weekly rates are often 20% below nightly totals.
4. Book direct chain properties. Marriott, Hilton, IHG loyalty tiers give room upgrades free.
5. Ask about half-board / all-inclusive. In Maldives and Mauritius, all-inclusive is almost always cheaper than paying for meals separately.
6. Book flexible rates for Europe. Non-refundable is 10-15% cheaper but risky for visa cases.
